School Memories is a subsidiary website of the Hong Kong Memory Project, founded by Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Hong Kong. The website is established to encourage local schools, communities and individuals to collect, preserve and organize historical materials and people’s memories related to the school, and presenting them on the internet.
We are asked to create the visual identity for the program. Hexagon is used as the visual elements. The forms imply community and unite in iconology, refer to the project objective: to encourage schools to share their own “ memories” to the web, and form an online database. The types also give a digital feeling for the audience to recognize it is related to internet.
The hexagon then generate into different graphics for further application.
